On October 15,2025,Typus Finance announced a vulnerability in it’s TLP contract. The exploit occurred due to a lack of authority checks in the oracle system. The team quickly paused all smart contracts to prevent further damage.”We detected an exploit in our TLP contract about an hour ago,” they stated on X. “To ensure user safety, we’ve paused all smart contracts.”
Extractor by Hacken estimates the attack at around $3.4 million. The attacker moved the stolen funds to Ethereum and converted them into DAI stablecoins. This incident has caused the Typus token price to drop by over 35%,falling from $0.009 to $0.0055. The price dip reflects market concerns over the security breach. The team is now investigating the incident with help from the Sui Foundation.
