Space and Time Unveils Permissionless Mainnet for Secure Data Access
Zero-knowledge proof technology is making waves in the crypto world. On May 8, Space and Time, a project by MakeInfinite Labs and supported by Microsoft, launched its permissionless mainnet. This blockchain allows smart contracts to use zero-knowledge (ZK) proven data, opening doors for innovative crypto applications.
The network gathers data from major blockchains and stores it using a decentralized validator system. Developers can access and verify this data with ZK-proofs, integrating it into their smart contracts without revealing the full dataset. This is made possible by Proof of SQL, a protocol that simplifies database query validation.
scott Dykstra, a key contributor at Space and Time, believes this launch will drive the creation of advanced Web3 applications. “Before Space and Time, onchain apps couldn’t safely query user data from blockchain activity,” Dykstra explained. “Now, developers can do so without risking security.”
Nate Holiday, CEO of MakeInfinite Labs, highlighted the team’s focus on building essential blockchain infrastructure. “We’re creating the foundation for the next wave of crypto apps,” Holiday said.
Validators can support the network by providing quality data, staking tokens, or running nodes to ensure its security and functionality.
