Monad Teams Up with Chainlink for mainnet Launch
Monad, an EVM-compatible Layer 1 blockchain, has teamed up with Chainlink, a top decentralized oracle provider. This partnership will give monad developers access to Chainlink’s services when the mainnet launches.
Chainlink’s data Feeds and Data Streams will provide accurate market data. This includes asset prices and exchange rates. Developers can use this data to create DeFi apps like lending platforms and DEXs. Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) will enable secure cross-chain token transfers. This will help build interoperable dApps.
Monad also announced that USD Coin (USDC) will be available on its chain from day one. Monad is backed by $244 million in funding from Dragonfly and Paradigm. It supports over 10,000 transactions per second, fast block times, low fees, and rapid finality.
On Feb. 19, Monad launched its testnet with an ecosystem directory of 50+ apps. Users can connect instantly via Phantom, OKX, Uniswap Wallet, and Backpack. The mainnet launch is expected in the first quarter of 2025.
