Bitget and Avalanche Join Forces to Promote Web3 in India
On April 28, crypto exchange Bitget and Avalanche (AVAX) announced a strategic partnership to boost digital asset trading and blockchain adoption in India. This collaboration aims to bring web3 technology to the masses across the country.
Devika mittal,regional head at ava Labs,highlighted thier goal: “We want to create a space for web3 enthusiasts,no matter where they are in India,to connect and build.” Avalanche has been working with indian government agencies on welfare projects and mini-grants, showcasing its commitment to the region.
Bitget has also been active in promoting blockchain education. Their Blockchain4Youth initiative offers $10 million in scholarships, workshops, and hackathons over five years. The Blockchain4Her program supports women-led Web3 projects globally.
Jyotsna Hridyani,head of Bitget South Asia,emphasized the importance of education: “Empowering users with knowledge is key to unlocking blockchain’s full potential in India’s digital future.”
India is a major crypto market, making it an ideal location for web3 expansion. Bitget is working towards full regulatory approval in the country and recently secured a digital asset service provider license in El Salvador.
The exchange’s transparency report for Q1 2025 showed a 159% increase in spot trading volume, reaching $2.08 trillion. Bitget Token (BGB) is now among the top 50 by market cap.
This partnership between Bitget and Avalanche is set to drive web3 adoption in India through 2025.
