USD1 Stablecoin Expands on BNB Chain with Re7 Labs Partnership
World Liberty Financial (WLFI) has teamed up with Re7 Labs to boost the adoption of its USD1 stablecoin on BNB Chain. This move aims to strengthen the decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem with institutional-grade infrastructure.
Re7 Labs, part of Re7 Capital, will use its $600 million risk-reviewed DeFi framework to support USD1’s rollout. This partnership comes after USD1 surpassed $2 billion in circulation, marking a shift from its political origins to a more structured, institution-kind DeFi approach.
The collaboration involves a curated vault strategy that introduces real-time monitoring, composability, adn off-chain verification. These features align with WLFI’s goal of making USD1 a base-layer asset for decentralized markets that require transparency and operational efficiency.
USD1’s co-founder, Zak Folkman, stated, “This partnership with Re7 Labs is a notable step toward unlocking USD1’s vision at scale.”
Re7’s vaults on Euler and Lista are designed to meet customary finance risk standards. Chainlink’s Proof of Reserve feeds and BitGo’s custody provide the backbone, ensuring USD1 operates within institutional guardrails.
USD1’s unique feature is its ability to move natively across chains, thanks to Chainlink’s CCIP. This makes BNB Chain a hub rather than a silo. The Re7 partnership optimizes BNB-based vaults for cross-chain inflows, turning USD1 into a liquidity bridge between Ethereum, Solana, and other networks.
WLFI’s June 26 deal with UAE-based Aqua 1, which acquired $100 million worth of WLFI governance tokens.
Aqua 1’s compliance expertise helps navigate the regulatory landscape in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, where dollar-pegged stablecoins face increasing scrutiny. By aligning with Re7’s infrastructure, WLFI is building a dual-track system: Aqua 1 handles off-chain regulatory hurdles, while Re7 ensures on-chain efficiency.
