Taiko Token Now Available on Revolut, Boosting Mainstream Adoption
Taiko, an Ethereum layer 2 project, has launched its native token, TAIKO, on Revolut. This move brings the token closer to mainstream users.Revolut, a major financial app in Europe, now lets its 45 million users buy TAIKO directly. This makes it easier for people to get into crypto.
Taiko uses a special design called “based rollup.” It leverages Ethereum’s security and speed. This design helps make transactions faster and more scalable. Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has praised Taiko for its innovative approach.
Since launching its mainnet in June 2024, Taiko has grown rapidly.It now handles over 2 million daily transactions and has 210 million unique wallet addresses. The Revolut listing will further expand Taiko’s reach.
Revolut has been expanding its crypto services. It launched Revolut X,a crypto exchange for advanced users,in November 2024. This listing complements Revolut’s growing role in the crypto world.
Taiko is also building its ecosystem. It formed a DAO Security Council with top names like Nethermind and Aragon. The project completed its first testnet batch after the pacaya upgrade, which improves network speed and scalability.
Despite the Revolut listing, TAIKO’s price has fallen 13% in the past 10 days. It’s currently trading at $0.56 with a market cap of $54 million. This drop is due to market uncertainty following Trump’s trade war.
