Echos AI Platform for Agentic Tokens to Shut Down
echos, an AI platform for agentic tokens, is closing its doors. On March 27, the platform, created by Stride, announced it will stop operations by May 1, 2025.
Echos, which began as a beta in November 2024, couldn’t attract enough users.the team shared this news on X, stating that the AI agent market has slowed down.”Echos was an experiment, but it didn’t gain traction. The AI agents market has also shrunk,” they explained.
echos was a Stride app built on Celestia, designed as a rollup. Initially, Stride hoped Echos would revolutionize decentralized finance with its AI and memecoin focus. The goal was to turn it into a full rollup ecosystem for Stride’s liquid staking network. However, low user interest ended these plans.
The team advises users to withdraw their funds before the shutdown. Echos was inspired by Terminal of Truths, an AI agent that boosted the memecoin Goateus Maximus (GOAT) to a $1 billion market cap in 2024.
While Echos didn’t succeed, other AI projects like Virtuals protocol, ai16z, Freysa AI, and Delysium are gaining attention.
