Trump Cabinet Members’ Bitcoin Holdings Revealed
At least six members of President Donald Trump’s cabinet have invested in Bitcoin, according to recent financial disclosures. These investments total millions of dollars, showing a significant interest in the cryptocurrency.
Robert F. Kennedy jr., the Health and Human Services secretary, owns a Bitcoin Fidelity account valued between $1 million and $5 million. Office of Management and Budget Director Russell Vought holds BTC in his Coinbase wallet, worth $1,001 to $15,000. Vought plans to sell his holdings.
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has a stake in the iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF, worth $250,001 to $500,000. He will divest within 90 days of his confirmation. Trump previously claimed federal officials are major Bitcoin holders and aims to make America a “Bitcoin superpower.”
Other cabinet members with Bitcoin investments include:
- Tulsi Gabbard, Director of national Intelligence, with a bitwise Bitcoin ETF trust and direct BTC holdings.
- Sean Duffy, Transportation Secretary, with funds in Bitcoin and a Gemini wallet.
- Pete Hegseth,Defense Secretary,with Bitcoin funds ranging from $15,001 to $50,000.
Bitcoin’s price has risen over 1% in the past 24 hours, currently at $83,332. However, it has decreased by more than 9% in the past week, according to crypto.news.
