Samsung Wallet Integrates Coinbase for 75 Million U.S. Users
Samsung has teamed up with Coinbase to bring crypto services to its Galaxy devices. This integration is now available to 75 million users in the U.S. through Samsung Wallet.
The partnership allows Galaxy users to buy, trade, and stake cryptocurrencies directly from their phones. They no longer need the Coinbase app separately. This move aims to make crypto more accessible to Samsung users.
shan Aggarwal,Chief Business Officer at Coinbase, said,”We’re excited to work with Samsung. Together, we’re bringing crypto to more people. This starts with 75 million Galaxy users in the U.S. and will soon reach other parts of the world.”
Samsung is offering incentives to new users. They get a free three-month Coinbase One subscription. This includes zero trading fees on some assets and higher staking rewards. Users who make their first trade via Samsung Wallet also receive $25 in credit.
According to Drew Blackard, Samsung’s Senior Vice President, this partnership is part of Samsung’s strategy to simplify everyday tasks. “Samsung Wallet already helps users pay, unlock cars, and show IDs. Now, with Coinbase, they can easily access crypto too,” he explained.
The integration is a step towards global expansion. Samsung and Coinbase plan to bring this service to more regions in the future.
