On June 9, Ripple announced a partnership with Web3 Salon, a project backed by Japan’s External Trade Institution. The initiative aims to support startups building on the XRP Ledger. Ripple will provide up to $200,000 per project over the next year. The grants will focus on areas like decentralized finance, tokenized assets, and digital payments.
This effort is part of Ripple’s japan and korea Fund.It offers financial, technical, and business assistance to XRPL developers. Ripple will manage the grant process, selecting projects based on technical quality, growth potential, and alignment with its goals. Selected startups will receive funding and access to Ripple’s global network.
Web3 Salon will provide networking opportunities, workshops, and advice to help startups grow. Four community events are planned through March 2026. these will include startup pitches, investor sessions, and educational workshops.
Japan has a strong tech talent pool and clear crypto regulations. However, it remains challenging for startups. Ripple and Web3 Salon aim to lower entry barriers and facilitate growth.
