Reddit is considering a new partnership with Sam Altman’s World ID to tackle identity verification issues. World ID’s biometric system, which uses iris scanning, may help Reddit verify users without compromising privacy.
Semafor reports that discussions between Reddit and World ID are underway. The goal is to ensure users are unique without revealing personal data. This step is vital as regulators and researchers increasingly scrutinize identity on social platforms.
