pump.fun Relaunches Livestreaming with Stricter Rules
After a controversial hiatus, Pump.fun has reintroduced its livestreaming feature. On April 11, the Solana-based platform (SOL) made the service accessible to all users. The new version comes with a tighter moderation policy to prevent past issues.
Previously, the feature was removed in November due to traders engaging in extreme stunts for attention. Some livestreamers even sold their memecoins’ liquidity live on air. Such as, a trader named NoHandsNoRug hid his hands on camera before revealing and selling the token’s liquidity. Others resorted to hazardous or offensive acts to gain attention.
To avoid a repeat, Pump.fun now bans violence, harassment, and illegal activities. offensive content is allowed, but promoting terrorism is strictly prohibited. This change aims to curb harmful behavior seen in November.
With 16,000 memecoins launched on april 11, competition is fierce. Traders tried risky stunts.
Now, all users can livestream, but they must follow the new rules. This includes no violence, harassment, or illegal activities.Offensive content is allowed, but promoting terrorism is banned.
With the high competition, traders are doing whatever it takes to stand out. The platform hopes the new rules will prevent a repeat of the past issues.
