Jeffy Yu, Zerebro Co-Founder, found Alive After Faked Suicide
Jeffy Yu, the co-founder of Zerebro, was discovered alive in his parents’ home. This revelation came five days after he apparently took his own life during a livestream on Pump.fun. The news has caused a important drop in the value of his tribute meme coin, LLJEFFY, which has fallen by 40%.
according to The San Francisco Standard, Yu was confirmed to be living with his parents. He refused to comment on the false reports of his death. However, he mentioned plans to relocate his parents due to concerns about being tracked down.
On-chain data suggests Yu may have staged his death to leave the crypto space. His wallet showed multiple transactions after the alleged suicide. Additionally, his obituary on Legacy was removed shortly after publication.
Yu’s original token, ZEREBRO, has seen a 22.3% increase in the past 24 hours. Though, it had previously suffered a 10% drop in the last week and a 34.8% decline over two weeks.
Yu’s LLJEFFY coin, created to honor his legacy, initially soared by 2,115% following the suicide news. It now has a market cap of $2.1 million.
Yu’s staged death was suspected due to active wallet transactions and an unverified letter. The letter claimed the suicide was a way to escape harassment and threats.
