Survey Suggests Americans Favor Bitcoin Over Gold
A recent survey by the Nakamoto Project sparked debate. It suggested that most Americans want the U.S. to sell gold for Bitcoin. The study found that 80% of participants preferred Bitcoin over gold.
Though, the survey’s approach faced criticism. Critics argued that the question was misleading. They felt it pushed people towards a non-zero answer. The survey asked how much gold the U.S. should convert to Bitcoin. This led to skepticism about its reliability.
Troy Cross, the project’s editor, defended the survey. He said the 3,345 respondents where chosen to reflect the U.S. population. The survey used a slider for responses. This method was seen as biased. Critics said it nudged people away from choosing zero percent.
