ADI Chain brings Tangem hardware wallet to Virgin Megastores across the UAE

ADI Chain has launched a co-branded Tangem hardware wallet through Virgin Megastores across the UAE, bringing offline crypto self-custody for ADI Chain ecosystem tokens and major digital assets to one of the country’s largest retail chains. Summary ADI Chain and Tangem have launched a co branded hardware wallet through Virgin Megastores across the UAE. The wallet supports Bitcoin, Ethereum and ADI Chain ecosystem tokens while allowing users to manage assets through self custody. The launch expands Tangem’s retail presence as hardware wallets continue moving into mainstream consumer stores. According to an announcement shared with crypto.news, the co-branded hardware wallet is now available for purchase at Virgin Megastores across the UAE, allowing retail customers to buy a hardware wallet in-store instead of ordering one online. The wallet supports assets across more than 80 blockchain networks, including Bitcoin, Ethereum and native tokens on ADI Chain, while connecting to the Tangem mobile app through NFC-enabled smartphones. Sold as ADI Chain’s first co-branded hardware wallet, the product brings the blockchain network’s ecosystem into a physical retail environment. Users can activate the wallet within minutes through the Tangem app, where they can manage balances, send and swap supported assets, with every transaction requiring a physical tap of the card to authorize it. According to the announcement, private keys are generated and stored inside the card’s secure chip rather than on external servers or mobile devices. The launch adds another retail partnership for Tangem as the Swiss hardware wallet maker continues placing its products in mainstream consumer stores. In June, the company expanded into more than 200 Best Buy stores across the United States while also selling through BestBuy.com, adding to its existing distribution network that already included Walmart, Amazon and Virgin Megastore. Retail expansion adds another distribution channel Inside the UAE, the latest partnership gives ADI Chain direct access to customers visiting one of the country’s best-known electronics retailers instead of relying solely on online sales channels. According to the announcement, Tangem’s hardware wallet takes the form of a contactless smart card that stores private keys on a secure embedded chip. The accompanying mobile application enables users to manage supported cryptocurrencies while requiring the physical card to approve transactions, creating an offline signing process designed to keep keys on the device. ADI Chain said the wallet supports assets across more than 80 blockchain networks, including Bitcoin, Ethereum and tokens built on its own network. The blockchain project described its infrastructure as being developed for institutional users, with compliance tools and policy frameworks intended for governments, banks and enterprise organizations building on the network. Tangem stated that its hardware has maintained a zero-compromise record across more than six million devices shipped since 2017. Ivan Branitskiy, Head of DeFi at the ADI Foundation, said the retail partnership combines institutional-grade security standards with a distribution network capable of reaching everyday consumers. “ADI Chain was built with the same security and compliance standards that institutions expect. Tangem’s hardware has a zero-compromise track record across millions of devices, and Virgin Megastores gives us direct distribution access in one of the most recognized retail environments in the UAE. Retail distribution is how we can onboard more people on-chain, and that starts with making the self-custodial wallet available in places retailers can easily reach.” Darya Karpukova, Tangem’s Chief Commercial Officer, said the company is focused on making hardware wallets easier to buy and use, adding that the collaboration brings self-custody into a familiar retail setting without requiring technical expertise from customers. Tangem continues adding products beyond hardware storage Meanwhile, the Virgin Megastores rollout follows several product additions by Tangem over the past year as the company has expanded beyond basic asset storage. In December 2025, Tangem introduced an Aave-powered Yield Mode that allows users to earn yield on USDT, USDC and DAI directly inside the wallet application while keeping private keys stored on the hardware device. The feature supplies supported stablecoins into Aave liquidity pools through audited smart contracts without requiring WalletConnect connections or external decentralized applications. According to Tangem’s earlier announcement, users retain custody of their assets while being able to withdraw funds without lockup periods, with the company describing the integration as one step toward adding more financial services inside its wallet application. Earlier in 2026, Tangem also expanded its retail footprint in the United States through Best Buy, where its NFC-enabled card wallets and Tangem Ring became available both online and in more than 200 stores. At the time, the company said its wallets supported more than 16,000 digital assets across over 90 blockchain networks while maintaining hardware-based protection for private keys.
