Brave Wallet Now Supports Cardano, Enhancing Crypto Accessibility
Brave has integrated Cardano into its browser-native wallet, making it easier for users to manage ADA tokens. This move comes from a partnership between Brave Software and Input | Output, the developers behind Cardano.
Announced on May 12,this collaboration aims to bring Cardano’s native assets to Brave Wallet users.Wiht full ADA support, users can now send, receive, and swap tokens directly from the wallet. Additionally, governance features for ADA holders are now accessible, allowing users to participate in on-chain decisions.
Brave’s CEO, Brendan Eich, highlighted that this integration is more then just interoperability. It provides users with the tools needed to engage seamlessly across decentralized ecosystems. Eich also noted that it enhances user security.
Charles Hoskinson, CEO of Input | Output, said, “This partnership not only expands functionality for Cardano users but also sets a new standard for blockchain networks. It empowers individuals by protecting privacy and enabling active participation.”
Brave Wallet now joins other top networks like Ethereum and Solana. Future plans include collaboration with Midnight, a blockchain using zero-knowledge proofs for data protection.
Cardano, currently the ninth-largest blockchain by market cap, has seen its total value locked in protocols rise to $395 million. Brave Wallet supports decentralized apps on Zcash, Filecoin, and Ethereum Virtual machine chains. Users can access it on desktop and mobile devices.
