Camp Network Tackles AI and Intellectual property Issues
Intellectual property rights have been a contentious issue in the AI world. Camp Network aims too resolve this by merging AI and blockchain technology. On april 29, the project secured $30 million in Series A funding, led by 1kx and Blockchain Capital.
Camp Network’s mission is to protect creators’ rights in an era where AI depends on user-generated content. The platform allows users to register their work, such as art and music, with defined usage rights.
James Chi,Co-Founder of Camp Network, explains,”Our goal is to bridge the gap between IP and AI. As AI becomes the primary content creator, provenance is essential for ensuring ownership and value.”
Once content is on the blockchain, AI developers can use it for training. Though, they must agree to the usage terms, including royalties, set in smart contracts. This ensures creators are automatically paid when their data is used.
Peter Pan, Partner at 1kx, sees potential in Camp Network. “The team has a chance to create the crypto equivalent of Hollywood, revolutionizing mass-market entertainment applications.”
Other investors in Camp Network include dao5, Lattice, Maven 11, Hypersphere, and OKX. this funding will help build a platform that protects creators while advancing AI technology.
