Ethereum’s Progress Faces Uncertainty, Says Ex-Foundation Engineer
A former Ethereum Foundation engineer has voiced concerns about the project’s direction. Harikrishnan Mulackal,a Solidity expert, claims Ethereum lacks a clear vision. This confusion hinders progress, especially for the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM).
Mulackal shared his thoughts on X. He said disagreements over changes are common. “Everyone has different opinions, so nothing gets done,” he explained. In five years, only one EVM change (transient storage) was implemented. It almost didn’t make it.
He believes Ethereum needs stronger leadership. Without it, the project may stagnate. Mulackal suggests focusing on releasing updates faster. “We should aim for one hard fork each quarter,” he proposed. He also warned that without changes, Ethereum’s future looks uncertain.
recently, Ethereum has faced other challenges. the ethereum Foundation’s ETH sales and the coin’s slow price growth may be contributing factors. Simultaneously occurring, Bitcoin and other tokens have hit new highs.
