Ethereum Researcher Joins Stripe-Backed Tempo Blockchain
Dankrad Feist, a key figure at the Ethereum Foundation, is moving to Tempo, a Layer-1 blockchain. This project is backed by Stripe and Paradigm.
Feist, who joined the Ethereum Foundation in 2018, will now focus on stablecoin transactions. he announced this move on X on October 17.
Feist aims to boost crypto payments through Tempo. This blockchain, launched in September 2025, focuses on stablecoin transactions. He believes it’s the next step in achieving widespread crypto adoption.
Feist will stay involved with the Ethereum Foundation as an advisor. He will continue to support L1 scaling, blobs, and user experience. His work will be through the Protocol Cluster.
Feist has been a vital part of Ethereum’s progress. He co-created Danksharding and PeerDAS.
Feist and Justin Drake faced criticism in 2024 for joining EigenLayer. They were accused of a conflict of interest and later left those positions.
Feist sees strong alignment between Ethereum and Tempo. Both share permissionless ideals. He looks forward to staying involved with the Ethereum community.
